We like to call ourselves "data cyberneticians". Even though fully aware of the annoying never ending flood of "quant" sounding marketing buzz word creations, we consider this actually a good description of what we are trying to represent as a company: a transdisciplinary approach to identify, understand, predict and control dynamic and complex systems.
Most companies think of "big data" as a way to predict the future or to create insight. But prediction is only a part one of control theory. Optimal strategies and decision theory have to be derived from data driven insights. Designing (big) data solutions and embedding them in a companies business and IT processes is a software engineering problem.
We always thrive for the right balance between battle tested approaches considered best practice and finding a new angle to describe and solve a problem.
